ABOUT THE ALBUM

Exploring musical genres of Americana, Modern Folk, Alternative-Country, and Bluegrass, Susie Fitzgerald's debut album, Plenty, follows the arc of a year-long trajectory of reinvention.

The lyric-driven collection of songs travels from heartbreak to redemption, and from scarcity to abundance. Plenty subtly traverses a spiritual journey across familiar human territory.

Musically, Plenty is as diverse as the landscape it travels. From the old-timey, honky-tonk waltz, "No Drinkin' Alone" to the Sanskrit-infused "Making, Making, Someday Made", the album includes hints of George Jones, Norah Jones, and Alison Krauss, with bits of Chopin and George Harrison in its vibe.

The album features some of the best session players in Nashville, including Eddie Bayers on drums, Steve Nathan on keyboards, Russ Pahl and Gary Morse on pedal steel and dobro, and fiddle virtuosos Larry Franklin and Tammy Rogers King, with co-producer Larry Beaird on lead acoustic guitar, and background vocals by Thom Flora.

Go to iTunes now! How cool is that??!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day! Thank you for listening.

Love,
Susie

What others are saying about Plenty...

"...A series of richly textured, bravely constructed, profoundly moving and ultimately, deeply inspirational story-songs...A country-inflected Americana folk album of uncommon grace."

"In her self-assured debut, Susie Fitzgerald introduces us to a major new talent in Americana music. 'Plenty' offers plenty to like, especially her velvety voice, which brings a full range of emotion and conviction to each song....Get to know this singer/songwriter: She's going places."
—Jon Talton, Columnist for the Seattle Times, author of
Rogue Columnist and the David Mapstone Mysteries

"I love your CD! I am blown away...the voice, the songs, the arrangements... full of strength and uplifting, even if a little heartache too. I like every song and there are not many albums that I say that about."
—Jan McCullagh
